Organizers of the 2010 Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival named DDB Worldwide chairman and chief creative officer Bob Scarpelli as the president of the Titanium and Integrated jury. Scarpelli served as the Film and Press jury president in 2007. The rest of the jurors are 42 Entertainment president and CEO Susan Bonds, F/Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi, Brazil partner and CEO/creative director Fábio Fernandes, AKQA CCO Rei Inamoto, Ogilvy & Mather worldwide ECD Khai Meng Tham, Mortierbrigade partner and creative director Jens Mortier, Crispin Porter + Bogusky partner and co-ECD Rob Reilly, Wunderman vice-chairman and COO David Sable, Mother, London joint creative director and founding partner Mark Waites and Colenso BBDO, New Zealand ECD Nick Worthington.
Boulder-based agency Crispin Porter + Bogusky named five new partners at the agency: group account directors Laura Bowles and Heather Faunce, executive creative director Jeff Benjamin, production director David Rolfe, and executive producer Winston Binch. The agency's founding partner Alex Bogusky also gets a new title at parent company MDC Partners: chief creative insurgent.
Global digital agency AKQA will open its third European office in Berlin, headed up by European managing director Guy Wieynk. The new office's launch client is Nokia and AKQA will develop applications for Ovi, the brand's mobile internet service platform. An advance team from the agency's London office has been working a temporary space in Berlin until the new office opens in March.
The Interpublic Group, New York has announced that Nick Brien will succeed John Dooner as CEO of McCann Worldgroup, effective April 1. Dooner will stay on as chairman through 2010.
Draftfcb, Chicago has hired producer Rob Farber as executive producer (broadcast) for the Miller Lite account.
Mother, New York has hired art director Gabriel Blidö.
The Art Directors Club in New York has announced the Interactive jury for its 2010 awards show. Lean Mean Fighting Machine, London creative partner Dave Bedwood is the jury chair.
