Over the coming weeks, we'll be posting exclusive interviews with several speakers from the 2009 Boards Summit in the screening room. First up is R/GA chairman and CEO Bob Greenberg, who told delegates during his keynote address, "The Production Model Is Dead", that more and more agencies will bring production in-house to better compete for integrated business and save money.
Greenberg founded R/GA in 1977 with his brother Richard as a mixed-media production company and has since transitioned it into a digital advertising agency. His keynote speech was the subject of much debate and discussion on the second day of this year's Summit, so we took him aside to ask a few more questions.
"In my opinion a lot of agencies are not focused on the consumer," he told Boards' Christine Clarke. "They're actually focused on selling what they do."
