TBWA\Media Arts Lab, Los Angeles has promoted ECD Duncan Milner to chief creative officer, a position previously held by Lee Clow. The promotion was announced internally at the agency last month. Milner joined TWBA 18 years ago and has since worked several of its offices. Most recently he has led the creative on the Apple as ECD of the agency's Media Arts Lab. Clow will maintain his role as Chairman of the TBWA\Media Arts Lab.
The Association of Independent Commercial Producers (AICP) unveiled the board members for its newly-created AICP Digital Chapter at the Boards Summit on Monday. AICP president and CEO Matt Miller and AICP Digital president Ed Ulbrich named Psyop's Justin Booth-Clibborn, who will serve as vice-president of the chapter, Rhythm + Hues' Paul Babb, Stardust's Jake Banks, Superfad's Kevin Batten, Motion Theory's Javier Jimenez, Imaginary Forces' Chip Houghton, Thornberg & Forester's Elizabeth Kiehner, Click 3X's Jason Mayo and Brand New School's Danny Rosenbloom.
Independent agency 180 Amsterdam has undertaken a major reorganization to focus on creating new specialist units offering retail and digital content creation expertise. Managing partners Chris Mendola, Alex Melvin, and Andy Fackrell become CEO, chairman and chief creative officer respectively. John Van Dorst, previously retail marketing director of Europe for Levi Strauss, and operations director Mischa Staas will head new design and retail unit DETAIL. The agency has also hired two new executive creative directors to RIOT: Nathan Cooper, formerly ECD at R/GA, and Matthew Atkatz, previously of Saatchi & Saatchi, New York.
An alternative model ad agency based on the principles of crowdsourcing called Victors & Spoils has opened in Boulder, Colorado. John Winsor will serve as chief executive officer, Claudio Batten assumes the role of chief operating officer and Evan Fry is the chief creative officer.
Tool of North America in Santa Monica has signed The company P, a Swedish content and design studio that creates ‘participatory' drama series.
Paranoid US, Los Angeles has signed director German director Kai Sehr.
Bicoastal Nomad Editing has added editor Mike Coletta to its roster.
Wexley School for Girls, Seattle has hired Derek Hockman as account supervisor on the agency's Microsoft Windows Phone account.
LA-based rep firm Hurrah! Marketing, has signed design and production studio METAphrenie for international representation.
