•PROXIMITY BBDO OPENS GRAD ‘SUMMER CAMP' IN BELGIUM> Proximity BBDO in Belgium will train 12 post-secondary graduates in the ways of digital and interactive advertising and then task them with running a shadow agency called The Farm. The three-week intensive program will be run by creatives from the agency's direct and interactive divisions and students who attain the ‘best of class' distinction will be sent out to work in BBDO's global offices. •NEW SMARTPHONE AD FORMAT LAUNCHES IN UK> London-based mobile agency 4th Screen Advertising has launched a new ad format for smartphones called iSide specifically targeted at British iPhone users. The format is a ‘touch-to-expand' rich media application that debuted in digital agency Walker Media's new Barclaycard campaign via The Guardian's iPhone app at m.theguardian.co.uk. Users can touch a banner to expand it and access rich media content, campaign links and downloadable coupons.

•STRAIGHT 8 LONDON SCREENING REMINDER> The London edition of annual Super 8 festival straight 8 will take place next week during the Rushes Soho Shorts Film Festival. Sixty never-before-seen films will screen July 27 to 29 along side the eight films chosen for the Cannes Film Festival. For full details, visit www.straight8.net.

•TIMOTHY SACCENTI EXHIBIT TO OPEN IN TOKYO> One of Boards' 2008 Directors to Watch is having his first solo exhibition in Tokyo next month. Partizan's Timothy Saccenti will present "Garden of Earthly Delights" a photography exhibit at the Diesel Denim Gallery Aoyama in Tokyo from August 14 until November 8. Saccenti, who has directed music videos for Animal Collective and Battles, is in Tokyo working on a project for Wieden+Kennedy. Full details and artist statement here.

Holiday Films, Toronto has added directors Legs and Lena Beug to its roster for Canadian spot rep.

Amsterdam-and-Rotterdam-based production company Revolver Media has signed director Jean-Julien Pous.

Wanda Productions in Paris has added creative production company Shilo to its roster for French market rep.

Annex Films in London has signed director Sil van der Woerd.

Editor Peter Dunn has founded a new post-production company in Marina del Ray called Digital Octopus that will service feature films, television, commercials, music videos and web content.

Rebecca Blake Films, New York has signed tabletop director Deke Donelian.
