HARVEY MARCO JOINS JWT NY> Harvey Marco, formerly ECD at Saatchi & Saatchi, Los Angeles, is moving across the country to take up the chief creative officer role at JWT, New York, the agency confirmed this week. Marco, who has been instrumental in developing the creative on Saatchi's Toyota account for the past five years, begins working at JWT in September, and will report to co-presidents Rosemarie Ryan and Ty Montague. His last day at Saatchi & Saatchi is August 15. "We've nearly doubled in size in the past four years," said Ryan in a statement. "This latest leadership evolution will further allow us to build on the momentum and continue to innovate for the agency and our clients."

TOMATO RESURFACES STATESIDE AT BELIEVE> After four years of working without US production representation, international creative collective Tomato has found a new home with Believe Media, which is planning to undertake a variety of ventures with the group. They range from traditional commercial and film direction to branding, in-store design, large-scale installations, mobile and web projects. This month they have convened in New York for the opening of Beautiful Burnout, an ongoing "artjam" exhibition at Jacobson Howard Gallery. D&AD RETROSPECTIVE AT LONDON DESIGN FESTIVAL> The complete set of the D&AD's awards Annuals will be on display for the first time at the London Design Festival next month. The exhibition "Pencil - 45 Years of Creativity from the D&AD Annuals" will open with a private view on September 18 and run until Sept. 23 at the Royal College of Art. D&AD's past presidents have selected their favorite work from their term for viewing alongside the accompanying Annual. The 2008 Annual, designed by Neville Brody, will also be launched at the private viewing.

New York-based production/design shop FlickerLab has partnered with Copenhagen-based Gonzoft to launch GO, a proprietary "digital puppet platform" that offers real-time performance of animated characters in any style, including 2D, 3D and stop motion. With GO, a producer can cut between scenes with a touchscreen, while a performer can control movements of an animated character with a standard game controller and, while speaking into a microphone, can have the voice performance lip-synched.
