Advertising creative veteran Ernie Mosteller has launched Tangelo Ideas, a Houston/Galveston-based agency/ think tank devoted to, in Mosteller's words, creating "great advertising wherever and however it'll work best." Mosteller was an EVP/ACD at Tampa-based Fahlgren Martin before beginning his directing career in 1990. As a director, he's best known for award-winning comedy and kids spots. Mosteller has also been the driving force behind two film companies - NurEye Films (New York, Miami) and Fried Okra Entertainment.

Just a reminder that the March 15 deadline is fast approaching for the International Clio Awards' Future Gold: Young Creatives program. The competition offers 12 young creatives the chance to have their work critiqued by 2006 Clio jury members. The 47th annual Clio Awards Festival takes place May 13-16 in Miami.
- FLYNN PRODUCTIONS IS KEEN ON COMMERCIALS>
London-based prodco Flynn Productions, best known for music video work, has launched a new commercials division headed up by former TBWA producer Matt Keen. Current head of sales Sascha Darroch-Davies will also be working to drive commercial clients to Flynn. The company's directorial roster includes Sam Brown, Paul Gore, Barnaby Roper, Urban Strom, Sam Brady and Karni & Saul.

The cfp-e/shots Young Directors Awards call for entries is on. The deadline for entries is April 20, with the winning projects being shown June 21 at Cannes. New categories to the competition this year include Viral and Branded Content.

London-based prodco Mustard has welcomed back director Cris Mudge to its roster. Mudge began his career at Mustard with spots for PlayStation and Peugeot among others. He comes back to Mustard after a stint at Outsider. Mustard has also hired Lucy Hayes (ex-Production International) as senior producer.

Boston-based independent agency Fort Franklin has hired Allison Hayes and Ryan Stotts as art directors. Both Hayes and Stotts are recent graduates from the VCU AdCenter.

Bicoastal creative studio Brand New School has added two new EPs: Jennifer Sofio joins the West Coast office and Brent Holt joins the East. Sofio was most recently EP at creocollective, and previously served as a Broadcast Producer for MVBMS/EURO RSCG. Holt was most recently a senior producer at Euro/New York and also served as a freelance producer for various agencies. On the production side, Holt worked with Omaha Pictures New York as well as Xopix Films, while on the agency side, he's worked with McStay/Regian/Fort Worth, The Richards Group/Dallas, and Ogilvy & Mather New York.
