- HELLO, MR. BOOMBOOM SPEAKING> Director/photographer Stephane Sednaoui and partner/producer Stephanie Bruni have launched production company mister boomboom, backed by Believe Media. Operating out of Soho, the fledgling prodco is on the verge of three director signings. Sednaoui is known for his visually rich videos and commercials, including spots for DKNY, Bjork and Tricky. With his company he aims to "transcend the boundaries of commercial and music video production with a diverse spectrum of creative directions and compelling visuals."
- CALABASH HANDOVER> Calabash Animation has been sold by founders/owners Ed Newmann and Monica Kendall to employees Wayne Brejcha and Sean Henry. Brejcha will take over as chairman/animation director, while Henry will be president. Newmann and Kendall will serve as independent contractors - Newmann as a freelance animation director and Kendall as a producer. http://www.calabashanimation.com
- YESSIAN IN NYC>Detroit-based Yessian Music opened in New York. The office will be lead by executive producer Marlene Bartos, who officially joined in June to spearhead the opening of the new facility. Yessian will maintain its Detroit office, but plans for an LA venture are already in play. The company currently has LA-based staff composers Hayley Moss and Andy Grush. http://www.yessianmusic.com
- AN ANIMATOR'S WIMZE> Animator Cleber Redondo has opened New Jersey-based Wimze Studios, which specializes in 3D character animation for TV, home video, commercials and games. Wimze is currently in production on the pilot for the 26-episode aniamted series "The Firecrackers." Also in production is the second of Wimze's own properties, "Dinomites," about a cartoon-style family of dinosaurs and targets a preschool audience. http://www.wimze.com/
- THE STORY OF BLAKE> Chicago-based The Story Companies announced the launch of Rebecca Blake Films, a satellite of the Chicago-based company. Led by executive producer Mark Androw, Blake will be the principle director, though the pair plans to expand with more directors in the future.http://www.thestorycompanies.com

Brand New School has hired Rachel Kaminek as a staff producer in their West Coast studio. Prior to joining BNS, Kaminek served as Executive Producer of SWAY Studio/LA. Director Dominic Savage has joined London's The Brave Film Company. Savage directed through Stark, before it merged with Spectre to form Large. He comes to Brave from Large.
Denver's Citizen Pictures, CPG and Base2Studios have restructured resulting in a management shuffle: Citizen Pictures partner/creative director Jeanne Kopeck has been promoted to president/chief creative officer; Ann Fox has been elevated from executive producer of CPG to president/executive producer; and Frank Matson becomes CEO of the three companies while maintaining his role of Base2Studios president. http://www.citizenpictures.com

PROMAX&BDA has named Brett Ashy, former director of business development for Troika Design Group and Vice Chairman of the BDA Board of Governors, as Senior Vice President. The Jonses has signed Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst for exclusive commercial representation. Additionally, the prodco has signed newbie director Adam Rosenblatt, also for commercials.
New York-based Washington Square Films has brought Amy Hobby on as president of the produciton company's newly formed independent films division. Hobby is an indie filmmaker herself, and was founder and partner in Double-A Films. http://www.wsfilms.com
