Mullen, Winston-Salem, NC, has launched a new campaign for Sealy highlighting the sleep-inducing prowess of the mattress.
Both spots, directed by Rob Pritts of Chicago/Los Angeles-based Backyard Productions show "What if?" situations involving products not made by Sealy. "Rug" shows a nervous man lingering with his honey on a Sealy shag rug in front of the fireplace. At a crucial moment in the conversation, she passes out and starts snoring into the rug. "Car" shows a car dealer finessing a potential buyer behind the wheel of a Sealy sports car, with similar soporific results. The spots break Saturday, May 4.
Chief creative officer was Edward Boches and Denzil Strickland was exec creative director. Other credits go to associate creative director Karie Seykora, copywriter Rich Parubrub, art director Bill Starkey, agency producer Keith Rose and editor Bob Mori of Superior Assembly, Santa Monica, CA.
