Palestrini Feels Greene & Grand

New York boutique Greene & Grand Editorial has signed editor Kris Palestrini to its roster.

Palestrini arrives after cutting commercials at New York's Blue Rock Editorial. He also has a feature film under his belt, entitled Three Cell of Separation, as well as experience directing and cutting several agency and independent artist projects in film and DV. Palestrini joins senior editor/owner Ken Stadt, Pat Muia and flame* artist Cameron Campbell.

charlieuniformtango, Dallas Welcomes Martin

Creative editorial house charlieuniformtango welcomes Kathy Fawcett Martin as exec producer in its Dallas office.

Martin was recently head of broadcast for Berry Brown Advertising after exec producing for Dallas-based Reel FX Creative Studio and brings over 12 years of experience to the unit.

An expansive list of Martin's past clients include Quaker, Wolf Brand Chili, Daisy Sour Cream, GTE and the Dallas Mavericks while partnering with agencies Temerlin McClain, Publicis Bloom, Dieste & Partners and Ornelas & Associates.

Crawford Communications Names Hansil President/COO

Electronic media company Crawford Communications has promoted Paul Hansil to president/COO. Hansil will handle the overall management of operations, including video, film, audio, satellite communications and Internet services.

Hansil has gathered more than 30 years of experience in the television industry, rejoining Crawford Communications in 1998 as vice president and COO to spearhead the company's recent move into a new all-digital facility. Hansil is also a former member of the International Board of Directors of ITS (The Association of Imaging, Technology and Sound) and is an active member of SMPTE (Society of Motion Pictures & Television Engineers).

Pittard Sullivan Names Snyder VP/Head of Interactive/Creative Director.

Global entertainment marketing communications company Pittard Sullivan has named Alan Snyder vice president, head of Interactive and creative director in its New York office.

Snyder will be responsible for direction, conceptualization and strategy in the development of interactive and convergent communications on behalf of Pittard Sullivan's clients.

Snyder previously founded DeepFry, a membership-based organization of convergent media professionals serving to maintain standards of excellence in the creative deployment of interactive and convergent media, executing solutions for print, wireless, broadcast and interactive clients.

Manhattan Transfer Signs Heard-Greene and Tarin

New York-based visual effects and design studio Manhattan Transfer has added CG animator Patricia Heard-Greene and CG animator/VFX artist Aamir Tarin.

Heard-Greene joins from New York-based Blink.fx where she was digital FX supervisor/CG creative director working on projects for clients such as theglobe.com, Maybelline, Telemundo and Hasbro.

Tarin joins the studio from Malaysian-based Persistence of Vision (P.O.V.) where he worked as supervising animator and visual effects director. Previously Tarin worked for four years at Video Headquarter (VHQ), Singapore's largest post-production studio where he worked on projects for clients such as YM Touch--Malaysian telecom, Fuch's Oil (Saudi Arabia), Kraft Cheese (Indonesia), General Electric (Indonesia) and Coca-Cola (Singapore).

Campbell Joins J. Walter Thompson

Michael J. Campbell has joined J. Walter Thompson, New York, as executive vice president, executive creative director.

Campbell comes over to JWT from BBDO New York where he was executive vice president, senior creative director and sat on the board of directors to boot. Campbell has creative directed advertising campaigns for BBDO clients such as Duracell, FedEx, Frito-Lay, HBO, the New York Stock Exchange, Pizza Hut, Pepsi, Texaco and Visa. Campbell was also a founding partner of @tmosphere, a digitally based effort from BBDO, and he will be active in a similar sphere at JWT via digital@JWT and content@JWT.

Manz Joins Relish

Toronto edit house Relish has taken on Steve Manz as a full editor and partner.

Manz, most recently an editor and partial owner of Toronto's School editorial facility has joined Relish as a full partner with executive producer Kate Bate and editor Chris Van Dyke.

"I've respected Chris and Kate for many years so it's great to work with them," relates Manz. "There is no negative against School, this just became available and it's a beautiful thing. I think Relish is a great company that is well positioned and I wanted to do something new in Toronto. I think there is room for one more editing facility."

Manz, who has also worked at Toronto's Vickers & Benson and Partners' Film Company, has cut spots for Cadillac, Molson, Replay, Toronto Hydro, Kelloggs and TJ Maxx, among others.
