3D Animator Taron Joins Computer Café

Computer Café, a California-based 3D Animation/Digital Effects company specializing in photo-realism and character animation, has hired Timur Baysal as animation director.

Baysal, better known professionally as Taron, arrives after a short stint at Station X Studios where his computer-animated credits included the Miramax film Dogma.

A native of Friedrichsdorf, Germany, Taron is a self-taught animator who specializes in 3D-character design, modeling and animation.

"I began by designing my own Web site," says Taron when asked how he left his native homeland. "It was dedicated to all my fun work because I thought that if someone wanted to hire me, it should be for fun reasons."

Taron's Web site soon paid dividends; Station X Studios invited him to its facility after viewing his creative site. Computer Café soon followed suit after becoming aware of Taron.

"Taron is an exceptional character animator who is highly conceptual and can [therefore] add a unique bent to the ordinary," says Computer Café's executive producer Jeff Barnes. "He is by far one of the best animators I have ever seen."
