Blue Sky Enters The Ice Age
New York-based effects and animation facility Blue Sky Studios is undertaking its first full length, all CG feature.
Ice Age, from 20th Century Fox Film is being produced out of Blue Sky and directed by Blue Sky's Chris Wedge, who received an Academy Award for his work on Blue Sky animated short, Bunny.
The film revolves around the adventures of three ice age characters, a sloth, a woolly mammoth and a saber tooth tiger.
Voice talent on the project will include Ray Romano (Everybody Loves Raymond), John Leguizamo, Jane Krakowski (Ally McBeal) and Goran Visnjic (ER).
Fox Animation president Chris Meledandri and Senior VP Kevin Bannerman will oversee the project from LA, with senior VP/GM Chuck Richardson in New York. Lori Forte, who worked on Fox's Bartok the Magnificent and Disney's Toy Story is producing.
