BBDO tops agency winners at 14th annual Webby Awards

BBDO, New York has won Agency of the Year Award at the 14th Annual Webby Awards, an award showcase for websites, online video, mobile applications and interactive advertising that's billed as "the Internet's highest honor."

The agency topped this year's crop of ad nominees with 12 awards in total. TBWA\Chiat\Day and BBH scored four awards each, followed by DDB Stockholm and Wieden + Kennedy with three each.

Top-winning BBDO campaigns include HBO Imagine, the multipart crime caper story produced in partnership with The Barbarian Group, which nabbed four awards and two People's Choice awards, and Starbucks Love Project, which picked up two awards including best integrated campaign.

Other ad winners include TBWA's crowdsourced fan video campaign for The Grammys, We Are All Fans; DDB Stockholm's The Fun Theory for VW and Euro RSCG's viral sensation "Rollerbabies" for Evian; Tribal DDB Amsterdam/DDB Worldwide's website for Phillips "Carousel" film; Publicis, London's Start Thinking Soldier campaign for the British Army; Goodby Silverstein & Partners' Asylum 626 interactive horror site for Doritos; Nexus Productions' directors Champagne Valentine's interactive experience for the Tate Modern's Miroslav Balka exhibition; Mekanism's The Fixer Show for Axe; and San Francisco agency Boone Oakley's website.
