A quickie with an agency producer
BBH, New York head of broadcast Lisa Gatto Setten on Spike's big idea, why high winds and bikinis don't mix and the best ingredients for a Dark and Stormy.
by: Oct 1, 2008 Print

The best cost-cutting tip you've picked up over the years?
It's definitely not sharing a house with the creatives to save on hotels - horrible idea.

In five words or less, describe the perfect conference call.
"Approved."

Your favorite location for shooting abroad?
Prague. Where else could you create a sprawling desert oasis (palm trees and waterfall included) on a stage in February?

The craziest pitch you've ever encountered?
It was from Spike Jonze and it involved lots of monkeys. It would have been amazing but of course had nothing to do with our concept.

The buzz word or term you are sick to death of hearing.
Integration.

The commercial you remember the most from your youth.
"It's Slinky, it's Slinky, for fun it's a wonderful toy..."

Do you TiVo?
I watch enough TV at work.

The most memorable "act of God"?
Attempting to finish a shoot in Miami during a tropical storm. Palm trees bent horizontally and the sand blew so hard it was embedded in our skin, requiring us to create sand shields. Our bikini-clad talent did not appreciate our perseverance so we called it a day.

What's your dream production?
100 spots for the Italian Tourism Board.

What was your last indulgence?
Three cases of Hosmer Mountain Ginger Beer... there just isn't a better ginger beer to mix a Dark and Stormy.

What makes you shake your head?
Cell phone abusers. They drive me insane.

Your favorite quote on advertising:
"I am a creative creative, creating creative creative."
