JUSTICE, D.A.N.C.E.
Much-hyped Ed Banger Records and its shit-hot roster owe much of their success to illustrator So Me, whose colorful pop art has graced innumerable T-shirts and album covers. In bringing So Me's designs to life for Justice's "D.A.N.C.E.", art students Jonas&François deliver an eye-popping and technically impressive clip. As Justice walk though a nightclub, their T-shirt prints leap from the duo's chests, playfully interacting with each other. The directors - both 24 - perfectly capture Ed Banger's comic yet stylish aesthetic and breathe new life into Justice's euphoric dance music just as it was starting to feel overexposed. BUMBLEBEEZ, DR. LOVE
After spending two years shooting spots, Tom Kuntz returned in May with two memorable vids: LCD Soundsystem's epic "All My Friends" and "Dr Love", a dusty, post-apocalyptic dance number featuring freakish fatties. Kuntz cast the Bumblebeez, a brother and sister combo from Australia, as leaders of a gang of shirtless and slightly menacing over-and-underweight hard-luck types. In a weird but totally inspired twist, hand-drawn tattoos of birds, phones and keyboards on the dancers' torsos and manboobs are played like instruments. Such oddly beautiful portraits of imperfect bodies can only lead to one conclusion: Tom Kuntz for Dove! [Prodco: MJZ; Label: Modular Records] KR

TOKYO POLICE CLUB, CHEER IT ON
Anyone who endured childhood trips to quaint miniature villages or suffered through diorama hell in elementary school should consider checking out "Cheer it On" for Canadian punk rockers Tokyo Police Club - it'll be a cathartic experience. Helmed by Toronto director Sean Wainsteim, a man places mini replicas of TPC into his sleepy, diorama city and all hell breaks loose: animals escape the zoo, women rip off their clothes and bodies are hauled off on stretchers in a melee of low-tech hilarity. Contains more brash energy than any big-budget punk video starring actual people. [Prodco: 235 Films; Label: Paper Bag Records] KR
