Just the facts: Age - 23; Hometown - Norwich, VT; Education - computer animation at the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan; Employ - Framestore, NY since Aug. 2005.
Best Work: FedEx "Stick". "It's definitely one of the most challenging things I've done as an animator. It was tough to do because no one really knows what happens to the wings of the Tyrannadon when it's in a T-Rex's mouth." He's also brought cutesy personality to a swarm of scissors for Discover Card and a jury of furry fantasy characters for Dodge.
Most proud of: It's Gollub's second year as a First Boards Awards finalist. Last year he caught the jurors' eyes with advertising's very own lounge lizard. "I'm really proud of the Geico gecko."
What got him into animation: "I saw one of the Wallace & Gromit shorts in seventh grade and totally fell in love with animation. Right around that time they started offering this animation elective in school. I did that as much as I could and really loved it."
After hours: For Gollub this is more than a day job, it's an obsession that he takes home. "Animation's my prime passion."
