The Klaxons> Golden Skans
The Klaxons are turning out to be eager muses for eponymous Partizan director Saam, who's now helmed three videos for the British rave rockers. After tying up one band member and soaking him with gushing green goo in "Magick," Saam glams up all three boys for "Golden Skans," wrapping them in ribbon and hooker-worthy hosiery for a spacey and abstract evolutionary allegory. Then, the band is birthed from fire, doused in glitter and set adrift in a disembodied sea of spheres, cubes and highly phallic, oversized cathode tube-type thingies. [Prodco: Partizan; Label: Polydor/Modular] KR

The Knife> Like A Pen
A lumpy brown creature resembling a cute little piece of poo with legs hectically scampers around in Swedish director Andreas Nilsson's wildly imaginative new clip for The Knife, "Like a Pen," which blends a variety of media - animation, stop-motion, photography and live action - at breakneck speed. Brandishing an oversize pencil (but not a pen, oddly enough), the little guy obsessive-compulsively draws and colors things in a wacky and wonderful world of mayhem that perfectly complements The Knife's darkly slapstick brand of techno-pop. Nilsson is an accomplished visualist, sculptor and painter who can seemingly do it all. [Label: Rabid Records/Brille Music/v2/Mute] KR

The Rapture> Whoo! Alright Yeah Uh-huh
As winter approaches and Seasonal Affective Disorder sets in, The Rapture arrive just in time to conjure up the hazy days of summer with their underrated new party anthem "Whoo! Alright Yeah Uh-huh." The Ben Dickinson-directed video has the potential to be a "Love Shack" for the sardonic indie disco set. But instead of RuPaul and a log cabin, The Rapture and a bevy of back-up dancers invade a Brooklyn rooftop for a raucous BBQ/pool party. As a bonus, illustrator Wyeth Hansen and animator Ron Winter bring the band's Brooklyn haunts to life, adding another visual layer of fun to the party action. [Prodco: Waverly Films; Label: Universal] KR
