Honored for: Creativity in Advertising/Creative Risk-taking
Coca-Coca chief creative officer Esther Lee is leading the company's global advertising into new territories through its partnership with Wieden + Kennedy, which was appointed agency of record in 2005.
Over the course of her 20-year career, Lee held several senior agency posts before joining Coca-Cola in 2002 as North American CCO. She served as SVP at J. Walter Thompson and in 1993 joined Deutsch as a VP. In 1997, Lee and Greg DiNoto founded New York boutique agency DiNoto Lee. Lee assumed global creative duties at Coke in 2005, where she's charged with developing creative advertising ideas with international appeal.
The fruits of the Coke/W+K partnership have already come to bear with creative gems from The Coke Side of Life campaign such as "Videogame", "Happiness Factor" and "Parade".
Tom Dunlap, executive producer of Wieden + Kennedy, Amsterdam, worked with Lee while pitching and launching the latest global campaign and says, "Esther has been a tremendous client. She's not always easy but she's always pushing us to a higher level of creative and execution. She has trusted and empowered us and I think the results are speaking for themselves."
