James Price, Transistor Studios; Adam Smith, RSA.

The best cost-cutting tip you've picked up over the years?
"Can you cut your mark-up?" But that never seems to work.

The best lie you've ever heard?
"I promise you, the client is going to sign the estimate today. I promise you, the client really is going to sign the estimate today."

The best turndown line you've ever heard?
"I'm sorry, we didn't really read the script when we approved it. In fact, we were thinking about a different script. So we can't sign your estimate."

The most outrageous proposition anyone has made to you?
"How about trading your new car for a Wicked Witch of the West bike and moving to Amsterdam?"

Your stress relief of choice?
My bike commute home across the bridges and canals of Amsterdam.

Your reputation in the industry (in your opinion)?
'Megalomaniac'. But hey, I like things big.

The most memorable "act of god"?
While shooting a Nissan truck spot with Sam Bayer on some forsaken dry lake bed, we captured a lighting bolt striking the ground while filming a hero shot, at 100fps.

What are you going to be when you grow up?
A celebrity chef.

If you didn't work in advertising, what would you do?
Field producer for CNN.

What's your favorite quote on advertising?
"Film inherits the spirit of its maker." Jake Scott, 2005.

Tom Dunlap started his career at TBWA\Chiat\Day in Los Angeles, where he worked with various clients, including Apple (the launch of the iMac) before moving to Wieden + Kennedy 18 months ago.
