Guy Atzmon, RhinoFX

Finalist: Motion Graphics/Designers

JUST THE FACTS: Age - 28; Hometown - Tel Aviv, Israel; Education - Studied computer art at New York's School of Visual Arts; Employ - RhinoFX, since October 2003.

FREQUENT FLYER: Before getting a staff position, Atzmon was a freelance website and flyer designer for DJs, clubs and party promoters. "Nightlife stuff was a good testing ground because it's very creative and open," he says. "And I still don't pay when I go out in the city."

FAVORITE PART OF BEING A DESIGN DIRECTOR: "I get to jump on different projects and jump between mediums. I like to set the concept up and then move on."

BEST WORK: 2005 AICP show open and titles. Having impressed with his work on last year's sponsorship reel, the Association of Independent Commercial Producers asked Atzmon to create graphics for 2005's show opening and each category. "We wanted to come up with graphics that would compliment MoMA and modern art, something very modern, clean and graphic," he says.

HOW CG HAS CHANGED COMMERCIALS: "It's a great set of tools that widens the horizons. You can achieve your creative vision quite easily," he says. "At the same time, not having limits can also not be good. Sometimes CG is a crutch."
