Where: Paris.
When: Created in 2001.
The Biz: Graphic design, art direction, effects, animation and editing for agencies, record companies, festivals, contemporary art museums.
Staff: Six artists and a project manager who form a collective.
The Gist: Pleix is not a company, but "a community of digital artists (graphic designers, 3D artists, musicians) willing to mix their skills to gain greater freedom for various projects".
The View: "We try to have two readings, a bit like a subliminal message. You can watch our videos without thinking of it, or notice it and find something more sensitive, but people are free to see what they want. We're not so different from other artists, but we've got our tastes, our own desire, our sense of humor."
Recent Work: Plaid "Itsu" for Warp Records; Futureshock "Pride's Paranoïa" for Parlophone; Bleip "Clicks" for Sound Silent.
