Music video fees ain't what they used to be. "The million-dollar jobs simply don't exist any more," says BandAd's Mark Humphrey. Last year Amex spent $350,000 on a $900,000 commercial-video shoot - and that's an atypical sum, according to Humphrey. The average cost for a music video falls between $180,000 and $250,000. Producers are also freaked about how much production costs will shoot up after unionization of the music video industry's estimated 25,000 workers has been finalized, through a new deal with the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE).
