Stockholm-based animation studio Filmtecknarna has forged a UK representation deal with London's Nexus Productions, formalizing a three-year-long relationship that has produced high profile projects such as the well-known cow campaign for Boddingtons beer for BBH, London.

"We've always had a strong relationship with animators from abroad, and have focused on bringing strong international talent into the UK market," says Nexus exec producer Chris O'Reilly. "That's how we started collaborating with Filmtecknarna. Our aim is to collaborate with them on strong design and character projects for both commercials and promos."

Filmtecknarna's roster includes Jonas Dahlbeck and Boris Nawratil (Boddingtons), Jonas Odell (MTV, Madonna), and US director Nick Hewitt (see Boards, September 2001). The deal also includes UK representation for LA-based Filmtecknarna co-owner Stig Bergqvist (Rugrats in Paris). The Nexus deal also includes representation in France and Japan. Filmtecknarna are repped by Curious Pictures in the US.
