Director Robert Logevall has left LA's Bruce Dowad Associates and started his own Los Angeles production company, Wonderland Pictures.
LA-based Logevall is working with New York-based executive producer Drew Miller on the new venture; he is represented in Canada by Untitled. Logevall, known for his spots for clients including VW, Audi, Ford and Lincoln Financial, says he entertained the idea of moving to a new production company, but ultimately decided to start his own company with Miller.
"After being busy for the last few years, I wanted to stop and be able to pick and choose boards. We will have no office to start with since we are starting very small and waiting for the good little jobs or the right jobs," says Logevall.
"We are focusing on the creative. The last two years I have been extremely busy and worked on a lot of cars; I am looked at sometimes as a car shooter and I have been getting better car stuff, less sheet metal. I want to get into anything with a strong idea that stretches me. I had a good run with Bruce Dowad and Associates and I felt like I didn't need to rock their boat, I needed to rock mine. Hopefully we can focus on the creative."
