Red Cell, a global agency network owned by WPP, has purchased New York's Berlin Cameron & Partners.
Meanwhile, Andy Berlin, chairman of Berlin Cameron has been named co-chief executive and chief creative officer of the Red Cell Group. Additionally, Lee Daley has been named co-chief executive and chief strategy officer. Daley comes over to Red Cell from McCann-Erickson Europe, Middle East and Africa.
As for Berlin Cameron & Partners, CEO Ewen Cameron will now head operations at the agency he helped found in 1997. Berlin Cameron Red Cell will augment the US activities of Cole & Weber Red Cell, the Seattle agency that was previously the only US shop operating under the Red Cell banner.
Berlin Cameron's client roster includes several Coca-Cola brands, the National Basketball Association, Reebok, New York Life Insurance and Ralston Purina, to name a few. Red Cell clients include Alfa Romeo, Aventis and Singapore Airlines. Red Cell was launched one year ago in January 2001 to fill WPP's need for a truly global agency network.
