La Comunidad, Buenos Aires and Miami, has rolled out an eight spot campaign for Sanyo based on the old adage, "There's no place like home."
Spots like "CD Stereo," "TV/Video," "Fridge" and "A/C" show various Sanyo products in action with atmospheric elements of home life taking place off camera. "Washing Machine" keeps the home fires burning a little warmer with an overhead camera observing a young woman removing all of her clothes and adding them to her laundry machine. "Nursing Home," "Son" and "Boss" revolve around narratives linked to various perceptions of the word "home"; "Son" has what appears to be a son preparing to move away from his parents abode, but concludes with him shipping his folks off to an apartment he's secured downtown. "We found a strong platform that ties together all the Sanyo products and the comfort they provide," says creative director Jose Molla. "We shot eight spots together with Bruno Stagnaro and Fabian Bielinsky, two of the best feature-film directors of Argentina. They are very 'hot' right now. In the case of 'Nursing Home,' it was Bruno Stagnaros' first commercial ever."
Creatives on the campaign were Molla and his co-creative director/brother Joaquin Molla, copywriter Luciano Bellelli and art director Ricardo Vior. Agency producer was Julieta Almada. "Nursery Home" was produced through Aeroplano, Buenos Aires and shot by DP Juan Cruz Bucich. The other spots were directed by Fabian Bielinksy through Argentinacine, Buenos Aires, and shot by DP Victor Gonzalez.
