New York's The Artist Company has hired comedy directing duo Spooner & French.
Nick Spooner and Andy French have been seeking representation since their last commercial crib, the Shooting Gallery, closed down.
"We've been looking around for a while and one of the things we really wanted was a New York based office; after Sept 11 we decided we needed this," says French. "It's nice to be able to jump on the subway and go to the office to bust the president's balls."
The pair have been busy working in both the US and Canada, through Imported Artists, Toronto. A great deal of the work on their reel is in fact derived from Canadian sources, such as campaigns for Lavalife.com and Breton Crackers out of Zig, Toronto, as well as spots for Bell, Ikea and Labatt Blue.
