DDB New York has promoted John Staffen to post of executive creative director. He replaces co-executive creative directors David Nathanson and Steve Landsberg who left in 2000.
Deutsch, New York has promoted Mike DePirro to the rank of senior vice president, group creative director. He was promoted from the post of vice president. DePirro joined Deutsch in 1999 from BBDO West.
Hill Holliday of New York has hired creative directors Jeff Harris and Philip Koutsis.
Leo Burnett USA has appointed Mark Tutssel vice chairman/chief creative officer. Tutssel makes the move to the Chicago agency from Leo Burnett/London. Meanwhile, back in London, his former partner Nick Bell is taking over as exective creative director.
McCann-Erickson, San Francisco has named Courtney Buechert its executive vice president and general manager. He comes over from his previous role as managing director of Leagas Delaney, San Francisco. Buechert takes over from Barrie Hedge, who has returned to McCann-Erickson, New York.
Saatchi & Saatchi London, has seen the arrival of creative Paul Ewen. An Australian, Ewen spent the past four years working as creative director of Saatchi & Saatchi Vietnam, Hanoi. Dave Shirlaw, another Australian, will take over creative leadership of the Vietnamese branch.
Y&R Advertising has a new chairman/CEO in Michael Dolan. Dolan leaves his position of CEO of Y&R parent company Young & Rubicam and replaces outgoing Ed Vick, who is retiring.
