Minneapolis-headquartered music company Wow + Flutter is opening a new office and studio in Santa Monica, CA for April 1st.
Co-owner, composer/producer and marketing director Jerry Brunskill is moving to Los Angeles to oversee the new shop.
Brunskill says there are several reasons behind the expansion to Los Angeles. He says that the company's work creating interstitial music for ABC and CBS could be better served by an office closer to the clients' operations. Also, Brunskill feels that being in Los Angeles will help Wow + Flutter increase its national profile. Thirdly, a new venture called Journey Books, which will produce musical accompaniment for audio books, will be operated out of the Santa Monica studio.
Joining Brunskill in the new office are freelance composer Michael Wandmacher and composer/producer/engineer Ken Brahmstedt, who, like Brunskill will make the transition to LA from Minneapolis over the coming months.
