Conspiracy, New York and Ammo, Austin, TX have merged to form Conspiracy Texas. At the same time, Conspiracy has signed director David Leach.

Conspiracy Texas will be headed up by executive producer and Ammo founder John Gilliland. Directors working out of the Austin production company are Gordon Willis Jr., Gary Nolton and Frank Tammariello, while the Conspiracy New York office works with Laura Belsey, Jean-Marc Piche, Ken Morrison and the recently signed Leach.

"It just made sense," says Tony Harding, executive producer of Conspiracy in New York. "For John, it's back office support. We have a nice little machine going here. We are talking about it and looking at it as much more of a satellite setup than as a merger. We are both responsible for our own directors although there are changes going on in the sales force."

Another aspect of the new deal is the support each company will offer the other in the East Coast and Texan markets respectively, and in terms of board flow and production support. It is hoped that sharing insurance, accounting and back office operations will also facilitate expansion.
