Exec producer Michael Gresch has joined forces with editors Johnathan Del Gatto, Lee Cowan and Mark Goodman to launch Terminal in Santa Monica.
Gresch was previously director of sales and marketing at Post Logic before shaping Terminal. His initial post experience was at Hollywood-based Rye Films where he commenced as an editor before becoming its exec producer. Gresch also completed editorial work at Santa Monica-based Red Car in the early '90s where he first met Del Gatto.
"The post-production community is small so we knew each other well," says Gresch of the group. "We basically had the same idea and outlook about what we wanted in an editorial house. We all get along famously but Terminal is primarily a solid boutique with talented, creative editors."
"As a group we've done a lot of music videos, short films and all kinds of media stuff so this is the direction that we will continue to go," adds Del Gatto, who first met Gresch at Red Car. Del Gatto has additionally cut material for various TV shows including ones on MTV.
Terminal has hit the ground running and commenced working on commercials as soon as the boutique opened. Although Terminal will focus on the usual fare of spots and music videos it will additionally investigate cutting movie trailers and new media avenues to make the facility open to a variety of projects.
