Three former MarkenFilm executives have launched a new Hamburg-based production company, five_three double ninety filmproductions GmbH. Producers Dadi Van Eendenburg and Claudia Geissler and rep Stefanie Barnickel resigned from Wedel-based MarkenFilm last year and officially launched 539090 on February 15th. The company has already secured its first job, a spot for the State Lottery through the agency Jung von Matt Am Main. Danish director Martin Werner, who is repped in Germany by the company, will direct the spot.
Other directors represented in the German market by 539090 are Michael Abel, Bruce Paramore and Charles Stone III as well as the directors of Sydney, Australia-based Film Graphics: David Dineen, Les Sharpe, Matt Humphrey, Graeme Burfoot and Phil Meatchem.
Barnickel says the company is currently engaged in conversations with a number of directors and production companies in both Scandinavia and the US with regards to securing more representational deals.
