PRODUCTION COMPANIES
Oil Factory Films, LA, has added directors Steven Tsuchida and Philipp Stolz to its roster. Tsuchida spent five years working as an art director at agencies including Deutsch, New York; JWT, New York; and Tierney & Partners, Philadelphia. Stolz, a German, has directed music videos and commercials in Germany and Austria since 1996. Oil Factory Films UK has also signed two new directors for British spot representation: drama and music video director Esther May Campbell and CG animator Richard Kenworthy.

Roger Hunt has been named sole executive producer at The End, replacing president Liz Silver and executive producer Luke Thornton. Hunt joined the bicoastal and British production company in 1995 as head of production.

John Clark, formerly executive producer at Culver City, CA-based t minus 30 Films, has launched a new production company with several t minus 30 directors and other personnel. Clark is now executive producer and president of Boxer Films. He is joined by directors Andrew Becker, Justin Klarenbeck, Jim Zoolalian, Jeff Kaumeyer and Peter Kovacs, as well as head of sales Josh Canova, in-house producer Shauna McMahon and marketing manager Chad Forrello.

theFIRM, New York, has signed directors Jim Sofranko and Charles Hendley for representation. The company has also signed cinematographer Tim Maurice Jones.

POST / EFFECTS / ANIMATION
Feature film editor David Moritz has signed with New York-based Wildchild Editorial for representation on commercials and music videos. Moritz worked on feature films Rushmore and Bottle Rocket and is currently editing the New Line Cinema feature Knockaround Guys.

San Francisco's Wild Brain has appointed Nina Rappaport to spearhead the expansion of its computer graphics efforts. Rappaport, formerly of Blue Sky Studios, New York, won the 1998 Academy Award for best animated short film for her work on Bunny.

Chuck Richardson has been appointed general manager and senior VP at New York's Blue Sky Studios. Richardson had previously been VP of physical production at LA-based Twentieth Century Fox Animation.

525 Studios, Santa Monica, has added Henry artist John Scheer to its team. Scheer specializes in effects and title design for music video and commercial projects.

Antony Hunt has been named managing director of newly merged Mill Film and Magic Camera, both based in London. The merged company will operate under the name Mill Film.

Bill Thompson has been named VP of post-production at Crawford Communications, Atlanta. Thompson, who was director of operations of production services at the company, will oversee posting services.

AD AGENCIES
Creative directors Rob Siltanen and Peter Angelos have left TBWA/Chiat/Day. Siltanen, who was responsible for the creative on the Nissan North America account, estimated at US$500 million, will open his own shop in Los Angeles. Angelos has not yet announced his future plans.

Jose Luiz Grellet has been named president at Grey Brazil. Grellet is joined by Jose Chicau and Fernando Luna, who will serve as executive VP and creative VP, respectively. All three members of this new management team come from Add Agency, Young & Rubicam Brazil's former company.

Ken Kaess has been appointed president of DDB Worldwide. Kaess will report to chairman and CEO Keith Reinhard. Kaess was formerly president of DDB North America.

Lápiz, the Hispanic division of Leo Burnett, has expanded its creative department. Art director Freddy Jana, copywriter Pilar Martinez and copywriter Ailing Zubizarreta have joined the Chicago-based shop.
