UK'S THE END CHANGES TO HARRY NASH
Bi-coastal The End Inc. has divested itself of UK-based The End Limited. The British subsidiary of the US commercial and music video production company will change its name to Harry Nash as of January 1, 2000. The End UK's managing director Julia Reed purchased 90% of the company from The End's parent company Intelefilm Inc. Kate Elson will be executive producer at Harry Nash. The End's American directors are now represented by Mark O'Sullivan who will be working out of the offices of Serious Pictures, London.

SNORRI BROTHERS LAUNCH YOU
Icelandic directing team the Snorri Brothers have formed their own production company, You, New York. The Snorris, Einar and Eidur are represented in Europe by London-based Stink and were previously repped in the US by Wildlife Management. The directors are working at You with executive producer Jonathan Jardine, ex of Wildlife. The Snorris have shot spots for Oxford Health Plan out of Merkley Newman Harty, New York, for Benetton through Y&R, Chicago and for Radio 1 Holland, out of Kesselskramer Amsterdam.

AVION STARTS SOMETHING NEW NEW
Toronto production company Avion Films has launched a new satellite shop, New New with executive producer Teri Walderman at the reins. Walderman recently ended a six year tenure at Toronto-based The Directors Film Company. The shop has signed L.A.'s Morton Jankel Zander, representing directors Jamie Calieri, Annabel Jankel, Rocky Morton, Kieran Walsh and director/cameramen Irv Blitz, Robert Richardson and Sean Thonson exclusively in Canada. New New has also signed director Eric Bute, a former agency creative with a comedy/dialog specialty, repped by Villains in New York.

M-80 CONSOLIDATES
The new configuration of production company M-80 has been launched; the result of the merging of Fahrenheit Films with M-80 and Voyeur Films. Bill Perna, formerly of Voyeur, is M-80's exec producer on the east coast, while Gregg Stern, who had been running M-80 and MPH, will now be M-80's exec producer on the west coast. The new bi-coastal M-80 Films has pared down its roster to eight directors and appointed a new director of sales, Lorin Munchick. The M-80 roster is comprised of Keith Rose, Ricardo de Carvalho, Lizelle Mes, Will van der Vlugt, Floria Sigismondi and Jim Tozzi. Original M-80 directors Tenney Fairchild and Doug Taub round out the new roster and are represented seperately by Jennifer Warren at present. Rose recently completed a campaign for Philips out of New York's Messner Vetere Berger McNamee Schmetterer/Euro RSCG and van der Vlugt just finished spots for De Beer's through JWT.

TOOL TIME IN NYC
Santa Monica-based Tool of North America is setting up shop in New York. Executive producer Dierdre Harrington will anchor the new office, with Meredith Bergman as east coast sales rep. A number of Tool's directors have been working more in New York recently, including Scott Burns and Peter Berg, who are working on a new TV series for next year.
